Rana Colak,

was born in İstanbul..

still lives in İstanbul..

and is in love with this city.

She is married and has a son,

studied electronics, and is currently studying for an associate's degree in the School of Religious Studies,

and works at a private company.

She says:

“I love taking photographs...

You see something, look through the viewfinder and capture that thing you see along with the emotions it stirs in you. And you get to share this with other people. So that moment of beauty is no longer exclusive to your mind and memory.

This process of sharing is pleasurable.

I used to just take photographs of places I traveled. But nowadays I travel for the sole purpose of taking photographs.

My favorites are photographs focused on everyday life.

I made many new friends thanks to photography and encountered many different opinions. I discovered many fine details of life that I was not previously aware of. Sometimes we just wish to push our daily routines aside and call for a “time-out.” And for me photography provides the most enjoyable form of time out from everyday activities.

I am not making any claims about being a great photographer. I am only doing what makes me happy.

And sharing it with you through this website.”
